CORDOBA'S LA CALERA 45TH VOLLEYBALL ANNIVERSARY

Cordoba, Argentina, September 1, 2014 - Over 800 people were present at the great event organized in this small town by the Club Social y Deportivo La Calera in its 45th consecutive volleyball years. No one was absent of the party. All National and Province Volleyball officials, local authorities, coaches, players, referees and great glories of our sport took part of the event.

Four teams from around the country were part of the party, Ciudad Bolivar, coached once more by Javier Weber; Pilar Voley that just upgraded to the A1 National League, a Cordoba Team with great province volleyball athletes and the local team of La Calera.

In between the matches awards were handed over to great famous volleyball related people of the city. The Vice-President and Club Social and Deportivo la Calera volleyball official, Adrian Fernandez, recognized Juan Carlos Enseñat, coach of the National Team and of the Metropolitan during the 70, who also worked for the national government and supported from his public job the building of the ceiling of the volleyball venue.

La Calera City Hall declared of City Hall Interest the event and therefore the Club officials handed over an award to the City Hall Mayor, Rodrigo Rufeil, for his unconditional support to volleyball.

Javier Weber was named Famous Visitor also recognized by Pilar Voley as former National Men's Team coach.

Another very emotive momento took place when Antonino Conti was named Prominent Citicen as coach of La Calera teams during several years, also recognized by Bolivar.

The Cordoba Volleyball Federation, headed at the event by its President Daniel Reynoso Arce handed out three awards to La Calera President, Ricardo Coca; and two both visiting teams in Cordoba Province, Pilar and Bolívar.
