Argentina V Brazil played for over two hours their "classical" match

Paipa, Colombia, September 11, 2014 - The first date of the Youth's Boys South American Championship being held in Colombia was opened for Argentina and Brazil in their "classical" continental match with the victory of Brazil 3-2 (25-27, 24-26, 25-19, 29-27, 15-13) in an only all teams round. This Thursday the Argentine Youth's will face the host team of Colombia at 21.00 Argentine time.

The Argentine team starting line-up included Roberts, Sferrayo, Soria, Loser, Benavidez, Martínez and Michelón. The set results showed the parity of both teams in four of the five sets but Argrentina won the first two sets and Brazil coming back and doing their utmost won the fifth by the mínimum difference.

The fourth set final was very exciting as Brazil was winning 23-20 and Argentina coming from behind obtained more tan one match ball but then Brazil won 29-27.

In the competition also participate Colombia and Chile in a formula that faces all against all - round robin - and on Saturday the top two teams will play the final match while the others will play for the Bronze Medal. All three teams on the pódium will qualify for next year's World Championship.
