LIBERTAD AND THE ARGENTINE YOUTH'S GIRLS ARE THE NEW U 23 CHAMPIONS

Libertad and the Argentine Youth's Girls are the 2014 U 23 Argentine Cup champions

Chapadmalal, Argentina, September 18, 2014 - This Wednesday finished the first Argentine Cup for the age-group of U 23 with Libertad de San Jeronimo Men overcoming Muni de Cordoba 3-0 and the Youth's Girls Argentine Team winning the nine consecutive matches to become champions of the first competition that will go on with the U 18, U 16 and U 14 on consecutive competitions at the same venue.

The women's competition had more matches on the last day with the Argentine Youth's defeating Nautico Avellaneda 3-0 winning th title. In the afternoon on their second match they overcame Municipalidad de Cordoba also 3-0 becoming champion without losing a single match even the age gap.

The second runner-up was Unión Electrica that won the last two matches and Universidad de la Matanza overcoming Ciudad 3-1 winning the Bronze Medal.

On the men's side, during the morning took place semi-finals all won by 3-0. Muni de Cordoba played to its utmost and overcame Ateneo de Catamarca 3-0 - team that reached semi-final undefeated while Libertad de San Jeronimo celebrated a revenbe match over River, also straight sets reaching for the first time an Argentine Cup. Then, after playing the preliminary round it was time for Muni and Libertad to play the final match.

Ce.De.Tal.Vo. defeating Villa Dora and Mar Chiquita finished fifth while the Bronze Medal was won by River (overcoming Ateneo).

In the afternoon after lunch started the great final at the main field of Chapadmalal. Muni started winning the first set up to the 2nd mandatory stop but Libertad great serving and blocking levelled the set that was 13-18 to 18-18 winning afterwards not only this set but the whole match and becoming champion.
