Hacoaj for the first time won an Argentine Cup competition

Chapadmalal, Argentina, September 24, 2014 - In a last day competing that ended about 2.00 am this Wednesday, the U 18 Argentine Cup 2014 was won by Hacoaj and Ciudad defeating El Tala and Obras respectively in two very intensive final matches. Bruno Lima and Micaela Mondino won the MVP awards.

During the morning the four semi-final matches double-gender were played and on the women's side El Tala played a nearly perfect match overcoming Freyre as it did on the whole competition by a clear 3-0, therefore not losing a single set up to the great final match.On the other semi-final Hacoaj and Ciudad at momento played a very even match but Nautico showed better performance at the closing points in each set, also winning 3-0 and reaching the final match for the first time in their history.

On the men's side meanwhile Ciudad faced Azul winning very easily also qualifying for the great final match without losing a single set. On the other match Obras lead at the beginning over Villa Dora but then it became a very equal match. Obras won 3-1 to become once more one of the finalist teams at the U 18 competition.

At the men's other cups, Silver was won by Racing de la Pampa overcoming Banco Hispano and for the women's Boca defeated GyE de Santa Fe while the Bronze was for the boys of Domingo Savio and the girls of San Jose.

The fifth place on the Gold Cup were won by Sonder and Central San Carlos while the Bronze Medal was won by Freyre (over Ciudad women's) and Azul (men's).

In a stormy day with lots of rain over the 8 fields, after 19.00 the women's final match took place at the main field. There, the closing ceremony also took place giving an award to the Youth's Boys South American Champions that participated of the U 18 Argentine Cup: Liam Arreche, Lucas Sferrayo, Jose Graffigna, Jan Martinez, Felipe Benavidez, Ignacio Roberts and Sergio Soria, and also Santiago Aulisi, Bronze Medal at the Youth's Games.
