Rivadavia de Villa Maria is one of the teams that won both first date matches

Chapadmalal, Argentina, September 26, 2014 - This Thursday started the U 16 Argentine Cup at the heart venue of all Argentine Cups. Prior to this competition with a record of 32 teams of each gender playing on the first date for over 15 hours in eight fields settled for the competitions, the U 23 and U 18 2014 ArgentineCups took place at the same venue and as son as this one finishes the season will end with the U 14 competition. Freyre and Ciudad will tray to maintain the U 16 2013 title.

Early morning on Wednesday teams started to arrive from all over the country. Just on Tuesday late at night the U 18 Cup finished allowing players to participate on more that one cup as one follows immediately the prior one. Both genders 32 teams were divided in eight pools of four teams each competing for the Gold, Silver, Bronze and Copper Cups depending on their first rounds results.

On the boys' side Pool C is the most demanding with four very strong teams competing at the same showing on the first date great parity. River won two very hard matches v Ciudad and Obras obtaining next round qualification as Trinitarios that also won both matches 3-0. Hacoaj and Mar Chiquita in Pool A and Villa Dora and Poli Carlos Paz in Pool H also won their firstt two matches.

On the other side, also with two victories, Bolivar, Rivadavia, Once Unidos, Virgen Niña and Tunuyan also qualified among the teams that will compete for the Gold Medal. Amigos won one very important match V Bella Vista 3-2 while Pellegrini de Tucuman overcame Sonder de Rosario in a tied match 3-1.

At the girls' competition, Velez is the top team with four points while Freyre got the same in its Pool while BPLP and Mar Chiquita that also won their two matches will play for the top place and the same will happen with BPLP and Mar Chiquita, Castelar-El Tala, all having won their first two matches and now playing one against the other in the same pool.

In Pool E all teams have a record of 1-1 win-loses while in Pool H UNLM and San Guillermo closed with an outstanding match. In Pool G GER is showing its best level.
