Barrancabermeja, Colombia, October 5, 2014 - Brazil obtained the Gold Medal at the Juniors' Women South American Championship undefeated and just losing a single set on the whole competition. At the final match they overcame Argentina 3-0 obtaining also the only berth for the continent for the World Championship 2015. Peru celebrating over Colombia in a thrilled 3-2 match, won the Silver Medal.

Brazil victory over Argentina 3-0 (25-14, 25-22, 25-18) kept Brazil as the best South American Team retaining the title. The MVP was the Brazilian Spiker Drussyla.

Brazil output were far better than its opponent, the light blue - white team making a difference blocking 7-3 and spiking 23-9. On non-forced errors while Argentina made 21 Brazil stood nearby with 20.

On the ideal continental team, Argentina's Irene Verasio was the top spiker. Argentina closed this competition with a record of 2-2 wi-loss and now will start on their participation at the Pan-American Cup.

Lorenne (Brazil): "We are very happy we obtained this new title as we did not win on the Youth's. We played well as a team and therefore we did not only obtain the title but also the qualification for the World Championship 2015".

Irene Verasio (Argentina): "We fought all the time, even against the strong team of Brazil, considering this was the our "real" final match. We must keep training and working towards a better reception and digging to grow on the Pan-American Cup, our next challenge".

Peru overcame Colombia 3-2 in the first match of the last day (25-20, 26-24, 17-25, 19-25, 16-14) with both teams showing their utmost and nearly not making mistakes.

Press Conference:

Amanda Coneo (Colombia): "We improved our playing along the competition and that is very important for us. We keep together playing as a better team and with the support of our coach and our home fans. It was very good to play at home in front of so many people and we are thankful for this chance".

Nicole Abreu (Peru): "Maybe we feel bad because we did not fulfill our goal but we played well at different moments. We must keep training for the Pan-American Cup without losing the chances of growing match after match. For us to play against other international teams is a great experience".
