ARGENTINE LEAGUE ORGANIZATION MEETING AT FEVA

Staff that met to work towards the FeVA Argentine League

Buenos Aires, Argentina, November 2, 2014 - This Friday at the Argentine Volleyball Federation (FeVA) headquarters took place the technical meeting to see all details prior to the Argentine A1 Men and Women League with the participation of the staff in charge of the same.

At the meeting all different areas of the double-gender National Leagues that will be organized by the FeVA in their second four-teams qualy pools and in the third round, that will take place during the year 2015 were discussed. As part of the meeting were Celia Montaruli, Fabian Bochatay, Rodolfo Quiros, Viviana Marinho, Gabriel Garay, Rodolfo Rezzoagli, Alberto Guevara, Jose María Zurbriggen, Miguel Mendez, Maria Eugenia Candal and Lucio Soria.

The men's competition will be the first one to take place beginning with six four-teams tournament with the first two ranked teams qualifying directly for the second phase. It will take place November 22nd - 24th while the League itself will start in January.

The participating teams are: Velez, Gimnasia y Esgrima de Santa Fe, River, Sonder, Estudiantes de La Plata, Mar Chiquita, Villa Dora, Ateneo de Catamarca, Libertad de San Jeronimo, Deportivo Moron, Defensores de Viedma, Sol de Mayo, UVT, Fernandez Voley de Santiago del Estero, Parana Rowing Club, Monteros Voley, Gualeguaychu, Instituto Pellegrini, Alianza Jesus Maria, CEF 22 Corrientes, Biblioteca Rivadavia de Villa Maria, Vista Alegre de Neuquen, Fundatec de Tierra del Fuego and Escuela Madrynense, representing provinces of all over the country and with debuts like a team of the far south of the country like Tierra del Fuego..

In the next days the Pools and the winning teams (to organize the competition) will be announced. Club de Amigos, Polideportivo de Carlos Paz and Echagüe de Parana are already on the second phase due to their semi-final 2014 qualification.

With reference to the women competition, also organized by the FeVA, Boca (title holder), Velez, Villa Dora and Estudiantes de La Plata are already confirmed due to last year's ranking while all teams wishing to participate at the second phase have time to register up to November 6, 2014.
