Buenos Aires, Argentina, August 1, 2015 – After having suspended the first date of the Final Stop of the South American Beach Volleyball Tour 2014/15 season due to heavy flooding (storms), today about noon could start with a different formula the competition that will finish tomorrow Sunday, at 12.00 live broadcast by TyCSports with the Pan-American Toronto 2015 Gold Argentine pair Ana Gallay-Georgina Klug facing Elize-Patricia from Brazil and Olympic Gold Medal Nanjing 2014 in what promises to be a very exciting and emotional match.

The competition formula was changed by the South American Volleyball Confederation together with the local Organization as more than a day and a half was lost due to heavy rains with the water completely drained by noon today but leaving the sand heavy. The planned matches were scheduled with direct elimination – eight pairs / countries playing Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals and Final matches.

The Bronze Medal will take place about 11.00 with the Uruguayan Eugenia Nieto-Fabiana Gomez (defeated in semi-final by Argentina 0-2) facing the Venezuelan Olaya-Rebeca Pazo (defeated in semi-final in a terrific tie-breaker by Brazil 19-21, 21-19, 13-15).

Quarter-Finals faced Argentina (1) v Ecuador (8), Brazil (2) v Chile (7), Venezuela (3) v Colombia (6) and Uruguay (4) v Paraguay (5).

Argentina won the first match v the Mischelle Molina-Ariana Becerra (ECU) without playing as the visiting team decided not to play. Brazil Elize-Maia overcame Chile Mariafrancisca Rivas-Josefa Izquierdo 2-0 (21-5, 21-12) with the two pairs of sisters, Olaya-Rebeca Pazo VEN defeated Andrea-Claudia Galindo COL due to an injury of the Colombian pair 2-0 (21-2, 21-0) and in last place Eugenia Nieto-Fabiana Gomez URU overcame Michelle Valiente-Gabriela Filippo 2-1 (21-19, 14-21, 15-10).

The first semi-final was the best match of the day when Alli Elize-Patricia Maia coming from behind of a 5-10 score in the tie-break overcame in the tie-breaker the sisters Olaya-Rebeca Pazo 15-13. The first two sets finished with the same score with Brazil winning the first and Venezuela the second 21-19.The second semi-final faced Ana Gallay-Georgina Klug defeating Nieto-Gomez URU 2-0 (21-16, 21-13).
