Just ten days ago, Gallay-Klug won an historical Gold Medal at the Pan-American Games Toronto in an outstanding season for the pair and Argentine Beach Volleyball, a bet of the Argentine Volleyball Federation that has as one of their main goals to develop beach volleyball, something that the good results help to promote and broadcast all over the country to the point that new beach fields are being built in cities that do not have sand.

The Venezuelan sisters Olaya- Rebeca Pazo obtained the Bronze Medal overcoming the Uruguayan Eugenia Nieto-Fabiana Gomez -0 (21-12, 22-20).

The Argentine pair added 500 points as it happens at an Open Stop of the FIVB World Tour, the Brazilians 450 and Venezuela, 400.

The final match was very tied with Ana Patricia next to the net giving the lead to Brazil on several times but Klug digging-blocking and spiking slowly tied the difference and even though Brazil had the chance to close the first set a non-forced serve of Elize Maia gave Argentina the chance to tie and close the set.

On the second set, Ana Patricia kept blocking while Elize spiked to get the lead but once more Klug digging and Gallay claws gave Argentina the victory and the celebration in their country.

“We are very happy to have obtained this victory in front of our relatives. After our victory in Toronto with the Gold Medal to be able to celebrate with our people will always remain in our memories” expressed Georgina Klug.

“This was a great party. We could show how we work as a team because we played a very hard match recovering our leadership in clue moments. Now our target is to keep adding points to the World Ranking and it is very important for us that the South American Volleyball Confederation gave us the chance to close the season at home” closed saying Ana Gallay.

The competition was organized by the South American Volleyball Confederation together with the Argentine Volleyball Federation, the support of Buenos Aires City Hall Government and the promoters Proenter and Turicentro.
