Central San Carlos eliminated Echagüe and Universidad de San Juan

Chapadmalal, Argentina, September 20, 2015 - This Saturday finished the U 16 Argentine Cup for both genders in the resort town of Chapadmalal, in Buenos Aires province with a party that gathered 62 teams from all over the country. Central San Carlos and Ciudad Buenos Aires are the new title holders in an endless competition that started with the U 14 grass-root categories just a fortnight ago and will go on with the U 18, starting September 27th.

The Finals of the U 16 Argentine Cup were live broadcast by internet in a party that included awards, raffles and gifts, animation and dancing included giving all participants an outstanding closing in friendship and health competition with all the country represented.

First the girls' semi-finals took place with Velez and Universidad playing a very intensive tie breaker won by San Juan team while Central San Carlos recovered from a bad start overcoming Echagüe 3-1.

At the boys, Universidad de La Matanza won the first set but then Trinitarios took advantage winning the match 3-1 qualifying for the final match for second consecutive year. In the other semi-final match, Ciudad overcame UVT 3-1 qualifying for the title match undefeated.

Prior to the final matches took all the other finals. The boys' Silver Cup was won by Mar Chiquita and the girls' by Freyre. The Bronze Cup was won by Estudiantes Porteño and Picun Leufu and last the Copper title was for Velez and Mendoza de Regatas respectively.

The Bronze Medal was won by the boys from UVT and Velez girls.

The took place the finals in the main field with the girls' being played first. The first set was won by San Carlos over Universidad de San Juan 32-30 but then Santa Fe team won the Gold Medal as the U 14 team from the same club won the title just a week before.

Then, at the boys, in an even match, Ciudad lead twice 1-0 and 2-1 but Trinitarios showing their utmost took the match to a very exciting tie-break won by Ciudad 15-10.
