Cartagena, Colombia, October 2, 2015 - Las Panteras will face Peru Seniors Women's Team, "Matadoras" on one of the semi-finals of the South American Championship while the other will see Brazil playing Colombia at Coliseo Norton Madrid in Cartagenas de Indias, all live broadcast by www.voleysur.org ( South American Volleyball Confederation).

Brazil reaches the semi-final undefeated topping Pool B after overcoming Argentina 3-0 (25-16, 25-17, 25-14). Mariana Costa topped the ranking with 14 rallies while Carla Castiglione and Sol Piccolo scored 10 apiece for Argentina.

Mariana Costa (Brazil): “Serving was our best weapon and we played well but now it is important to keep playing together and gain experience. We want to improve match after match.”

Clarisa Sagardía (Argentina): “We knew it would be a very hard match. It is very hard to play with so much pressure. We wanted to play to our utmost but we achieved it only at several moments. Now we think on the semi-final with the goal of qualifying for the final.”

Peru in a crowded stadium playing v the host team in Pool A obtained the leadership after a 3-1 (22/25, 25/18, 26/24, 25/16) after losing the first set with the Peruvian Angela Leyva topping the score.
