ARGENTINE CUPS 2015 IMPORTANT FEDERATIVE FIGURES

Eight simultaneous fields being used at the three Cups in Chapadmalal

Buenos Aires, Argentina, October 5, 2015 — The Argentine Cups 2015 are over and it is time to make a balance of the competitions held at the resort city of Chapadmalal with surprising figures that show the importance of the clubs competition that involve teams from all over the country. Eighteen Province Volleyball Federations, 109 clubs and 155 teams participated at the U 14, U 16 & U 18 Argentine Cups.

The first competition started September 8 with the youngest U 14 grass-root category with the participation of 23 boys and 31 women’s teams, won by Velez and Central San Carlos, respectively. Then, immediately after took place the U 16 with a record of teams registered. Thirty three boys and 29 girls competed with Ciudad boys and Central San Carlos girls winning the title.

After one week rest came the moment of the last 2015 competition with the U 18 starting September 27th with 33 participating teams where Ciudad boys and Freyre girls winning the title. That made a total of 155 teams competing in the three Argentine Cups 2015.

Recognized by all as a very federative competition that includes the whole country, 18 of the 24 Argentine Province Volleyball Federations were represented including teams from Buenos Aires city and province, Mendoza, Tucuman, Jujuy, San Juan, La Rioja, Santa Fe, Cordoba, Entre Rios, Chaco, Chubut, Neuquen, Catamarca, La Pampa, Rio Negro, Formosa and Misiones.

Among the girls 55 different clubs while at the boys the total added 54. Rivadavia de Villa Maria, also was the only Club that included their teams in all six competitions, both genders at three categories; while GER, Freyre and Central San Carlos sent their teams to all girls competitions while Club de Amigos, Sonder, Tucuman de Gimnasia and Ciudad included teams in all three boys’ competitions

At the Argentine Cups 2015 the main playing field was enlarged, now with three tribunes. At the finals raffles and prizes took place, there was entertainment and the best news is that to the internet broadcasting there were a relator and a commentator to enrich the
