Mendoza, Argentina, November 9, 2015 - The Beach Volleyball Development Centre of Tunuyan, that hosts training and development at the Tunuyan City Hall Swimming Pool Centre opened its 2015/16 season with an incredible national and international repercussion.

At the National Evita Games, that developed their final competitions in the resort city of Mar del Plata, "Juani" Ortiz and Joaquin Ceballos, representing Mendoza Province, awarded them the Gold Medal at National level, returning once more the Cup to Valle Uco Department won on the previous season also by Mendoza Alvaro Navarro and Bautista Amieva. The new champions lost a single set on the whole competition, overcoming in Tunuyan Corrientes pair 2-0.

At international level, last weekend took place the FeVoChi Cup in the city of Santiago de Chile where the Argentine pair of Florencia Amieva (20) and Loreto Sancer (17) won over the best Chilean pairs in Peñalolen beach until they were defeated at semi-finals by the local pair and the wind, something they are not used to.

On the side of the Men, Argentina was represented by the U 19 Boys beach volleyball pair Santiago Sancer (16) and Bautista Amieva (15) but the category without enough pairs (lack of quorum) gave them a chance to participate at the "free competition" where also as the girls, had an outstanding performance playing against the best Chilean pairs, even fighting against the famous and winners of the competition, the local Grimalt cousins. They finished fifth, being admired by their level even though they were much younger than much older and experienced local pairs. They nearly finished among the best four pairs as they lost the Qualy for the semi-final match 2-1 in a very tied match. Due to their great output they were invited to participate of the next stop and of all the competitions to be held this season in Chile.

Also as part of the growth of beach volleyball competitions for the youngest, November 13th - 15th organized by the ENAR, the National Sport Secretariat; the Argentine Volleyball Federation (FeVA) and Tunuyan City Hall will take place a "Campus" at the Development Centre, with the participation of at least 30 children of both genders that will arrive to the competition from the three Cuyo Provinces belonging to children born in between the years 2000-2002 as part of the search of players for the Youth Olympic Games Argentina 2018. At least three more beach volleyball "Campus" will take place this year in the cities of Rosario, Parana and Mar del Plata.
