IMPORTANT BEACH VOLLEYBALL CSV NEWS

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, November 23, 2015 - FeVA President Juan Antonio Gutierrez lived an intense working day of at the headquarters of the South American Volleyball Confederation in Rio de Janeiro during the Beach Volleyball Council Meeting, where he is one of its members this November 21st, lead by the CSV President, Rafael Lloreda and attended also its Vice-President, Marco Tullio Teixeira and the members: Julio Perez Alfaro (Uruguay), Jorge Granja Cobos (Ecuador), Jorge Luis Pino Madrid (Chile) and Nelson Dellimore (Venezuela).

After Lloreda welcome an evaluation of the South American Beach Volleyball Tour 2015 took place as the Sport Fixture for the season 2015/16 was settled.

Among the most important decision are included:

- Seasons 2015/16 and 2016/17 qualify for the World Championship 2017.

- The next nine stops of the South American Beach Volleyball Tour add points for the Odesur South American Beach Games in Pimentel, Peru.

- For the Pan-American Games, Lima 2019, the fifth berths of the South American continent will be the fifth best ranked countries of the seasons: 2016/17, 2017/2018 up to 2019 deadline.

- The Beach Volleyball Council pointed out the importance of the development of grass-root players.

Gutierrez management assured Argentina hosting the final of the Continental Cup, June 21st -26th, 2016. This competition will qualify one pair each gender for the Olympic Games Rio 2016. Six countries in each gender will qualify directly the champion; while the second and third ranked ones will participate of the Final Qualifier in Sochi, Russia, Argentina, Chile and Venezuela are already at the final of the competition.

“This is once a great challenge for our Argentine Volleyball Federation (FeVA) in its organizer of international events' growth supported by the world results that the country is obtaining. We will always work together with the South American Confederation with the great engagement of growing steadily on the whole region with beach volleyball" added Gutierrez.

The other three berth will come out of Pool F that will take place in Montevideo, Uruguay for the women's and Cochabamba, Bolivia for the men's. At the Council meeting the playing formula was established - round robin - all against all meaning 60 matches in five days.

CSV President reminded all attendant the need of all National Federations to present development projects in all areas. "The CSV will help as long as the projects are settled and evaluated along their time. Without this material is not possible to work, to plan the future" he added. Then, all members talked about the success of the different coaches and referees training courses, in which the CSV will go on working day after day.

The CSV Vice-President and Council President, Marco Tullio Teixeira reported on the results of the first meeting that took place last May, of the marketing committee that was just created having participation in two television broadcasters: Latina and Direct TV.

Finishing the meeting, Lloreda President mentioned that this meeting fulfilled its target. "We fulfilled many goals in our continent. We advanced on the fixture and next year we will settle new commissions in a very important year because I am sure will be at the Beach Volleyball Olympic Games Podium. Today we advanced a lot and we will keeping working on growing and development".
