This past Monday were recognized the Argentine Volleyball National Team coach, Julio Velasco and the Medical Director of the Argentine National Teams, Dr. Arnoldo Albero.

The awards are given after each sport affiliated federation proposes names and the COA (Argentine Olympic Committee) choses the possible candidates that follow the recognition ruling. Representing the Argentine Volleyball Federation was its Treasurer, Juan Galeote.

Argentine Volleyball great job was recognized in two different categories. Dr. Arnoldo Albero distinction was as Medical Action headed towards Sports while Julio Velasco received his distinction for his Coaching career.

"Without FeVA proposal it would have been impossible to get such recognition. It was a great honour to be awarded and keep working for the Argentine National Teams" expressed Albero.

Julio Velasco, who is at the present moment in Italy with his family, sent a video headed for the Argentine Olympic Committee with a thanks message: "I am very thankful for this award and honour. I understand it is an Argentine Volleyball Award, to the whole National Team staff, to the players, to the clubs like UPCN, the grass-root Youth and Juniors National Teams (that won the World Championship Silver Medal in both cases). To the whole team that work at the Argentine Volleyball Federation (FeVA), the coaching teams, the clubs coaches and so many volleyball dedicated people. Volleyball is one of the sports in Argentina that can lead a path, that show that Argentina can stand at the premier world level, that we all can work in a team towards fulfilling targets. I feel honoured to be able to contribute to the growth of Argentine Sport after so many years. This recognition is very motivating and I feel very proud of it".
