CSVP BEACH VOLLEY IN PERU WITH SILVER FOR BIANCHI-AZAAD

Ancon, Peru, February 22, 2016 - Another great result at the 3rd CSVP Beach Volleyball South American Tour 2016 for Argentina after in the beach resort of Playa Hermosa, Pablo Bianchi-Julian Azaad played a new final match, as in Chile - where they won the Gold Medal but this time they finished obtaining the Silver Medal defeated by Oscar Brandao-Andre Stein in a tied and fought match that ended 0-2 (25-27, 12-21). Pablo Bianchi could not finish the match due to an injury.

Bianchi expressed after the match: "I feel a bitter taste because I know we could have played much better, we wanted to repeat Chile's Gold Medal but we couldn't. Now I hope to recover very quickly for Maceio Open and win another medal for my country".

The Men's Bronze Medal was won by CHI1, Marcos & Esteban Grimalt defeating the Argentine 2 Iam Mehamed-Nicolas Capogrosso 2-0(21-16, 21-17).

The Brazilian Vanilda Leao-Josimar Alves won the Women's Gold overcoming with great experience and their utmost to the also Brazilian Verena De Oliveira-Hegeile Dos Santos 2-0 (21-11, 21-8). "It was a great match, we worked a lot to reach this moment and we wanted to maintain the Gold Medal won by Brazil in the second stop in Chile. With great pride to have fulfilled our goal" mentioned Alves after the victory.

Her playing mate Leao added: "We owe all we have reached to volleyball. We have worked and trained during many years in the sand and we feel very happy to have won the Gold Medal. Our effort and engagement is every time bigger".

The young pair that finished winning the Silver Medal also felt good. De Oliveira expressed: "this is our first ever participation at a South American Beach Volleyball Tour stop and we feel very pride and happy to have advanced step after step up to the final match facing an incredible great experienced pair that is one of the best of our country with lots of titles on their career. We just started and we will keep working towards new happiness".

The third place at the Women's competition was for VEN, Olaya Pazo-Norisbeth Agudo, that after losing a very fought semi-final match v Leo-Alves, won the Bronze Medal defeating Paraguay, Patricia Caballero-Gabriela Filippo 2-0 (21-16, 21-10).
