Buenos Aires, Argentina, April 4, 2016 - Voleyball activities never stop in Argentina and while the Argentine Men's A1 and A2 and the Women's A1 Leagues are finishing, Julio Velazco, coach of the Argentine Seniors' Men Team, aware of the very demanding 2016 international season, that includes the Olympic Games Rio 2016 organized with his coaching team, the work of a team that will include a 34 players roster with different goals for different group of players.

Next Monday, April 11th, the coaching team will start to work with 17 players; some of which belong to the "main" roster of the 34 athletes and others invited to work together with the team. Julio Velazco had planned to arrive to Argentina on March 14th but due to family problems, related to the health of one of her daughters, he posponed the arrival from Italy on April 22nd.

The following players were summon to start working next Monday at Cenard facilities:

Setters: Juan Martín Riganti, Matias Sanchez
Opposite players: Javier Vega, Manuel Leskiw, Bruno Lima
Middle spikers: Facundo Imhoff, Fabian Flores, Ivan Postemsky, Lucas Armesto
Wing spikers: Cristian Poglajen, Ezequiel Palacios, Jan Martinez, Lisandro Zanotti, Alejandro Toro, Rodrigo Quiroga
Liberos: Ignacio Fernández, Franco López

As soon as players finish their engagements with Argentine and Foreign Leagues they will join training. The complete roster will be given by Velazco on his arrival to the country.

The very demanding international season for Argentina mainly stands on the level of the competitions and not in the quantity of the same. Argentina is organizing already friendly matches in their preparation for all competitions headed by the Olympic Games and the light blue - white team will play v the host team of the Olympic Games, Brazil, June 2nd - 4th.

The international competitions include the FIVB World League with Argentina having returned to Group 1, facing USA (World Cup 2015 champion); Brazil (World and Olympic runner-up); Iran (Asian champion and surprise team at the FIVB World League); Poland (World Champion); France (FIVB World League Champion); Russia (Olympic Champion); Italy (World Cup runner-up); and Serbia, team that is always ready to fight all matches. The annual premier competition for the best men's national teams, the FIVB World League will take place June 16th - July 3rd (Intercontinental Round) while the finals will be played July 13th - 17th.

Before the Olympic Games in August Argentina will play at home v Cuba and one more national team getting ready for Rio 2016.
