Villa Dora coming from behind celebrated the victory

Buenos Aires, Argentina, April 7, 2016 - This Wednesday took place the first matches - to the best of three - both first semi-final matches of the Argentine Women's A1 League. Villa Dora overcame as visiting team Velez in Liniers' Buenos Aires field and could celebrate the qualification to the final series at home this weekend after losing the first set while San Lorenzo defeated Boca 3-1.

In Liniers, Velez won the first two sets 26-24 and 25-15 facing a rival that could not concentrate and find its own path but on the third and fourth, even though the advantage was also for the local team it finished winning 26-28 on the third and hoping to force a tie-break also won the fourth. The final set was a hard and very exciting set won by Villa Dora 16-18.

In the other semi-final the two stronger teams of the preliminary round faced each other. San Lorenzo won the first set 26-24 and Boca never stopped fighting but also lost the second one. 20-25. Boca won the third 25-19 but on the fourth the local team recovered winning the match 25-20 3-1.

Villa Dora and San Lorenzo need one more victory to reach the final 2016 with the revenge matches being played next Saturday and if needed a third match - the same will take place on Sunday.
