Las Panteras official presentation

Buenos Aires, Argentina, May 21 - This Friday afternoon at Ballroom Hall of Hotel Faena in Puerto Madero took place the official presentation of "Las Panteras", the Argentine Juniors' Women Team that will participate of an historical international season, including among others, the World Gran Prix Tucuman Intercontinental Round weekend June 3rd - 5th, the Pan-American Games and the very exciting first ever time challenge of the Olympic Games Rio 2016 next August.

With the attendance of the Argentine Volleyball Federation (FeVA) and National Sport authorities, well surrounded by a large number of journalist, Las Panteras, glooming and shining with their best look arrived to the luxury hotel in the city of Buenos Aires making first a series of pictures at Faena Hotel main entrance. Then with all the Media, Authorities and fans gathered at the Ballroom Hall, each of them were presented. The coaching team were also presented and the audience cheered each of them.

Then, the official launching of the international historical season took place starting the Press Conference opened with the words of FeVA President, Juan Antonio Gutierrez, who pointed out the importance of the path the girls are going through mentioning; "This is a very exciting Argentine Volleyball day presenting an outstanding team inside and outside the playing field. We are very proud and all Argentine sport is proud that Las Panteras represent Argentine at the Olympic Games", adding: "We want to thank everyone and each of the people that support us and it is time to keep supporting them because Las Panteras are the mirror for all children".

Afterwards, the coach of the team, Guillermo Orduna started to talk thanking all those that supported the light blue - white team during so many years of work emphasizing: "Over all I want to thank the engagement, dedication and daily work of the players, to be part of the Olympic Games Rio 2016 is a huge step". Even though the goal was fulfilled, the coach bet on more: "I feel that we made real our Olympic dream but now our new goal is to keep growing and improving. It is very important what we have to face during this demanding season and we must do our utmost for the future. As I always mention to the girls, 'we work for better results'".

Prior to giving place to the Media to make questions and personal interviews also Yamila Nizeetich, Yael Castiglione and Emilce Sosa expressed themselves representing the whole team. "We only know how much we fought and the effort and time dedicated to reach this point, the Olympic Games. It is what we need to motivate ourselves and the World Grand Prix Tucuman will be very important to measure and improve ach of our output prior to go to Brazil" mentioned the player born in Cordoba. Then the Formosa middle spiker added: "To qualify for the Olympic Games makes us train more concentrated and happy. I want to thank the whole team for the claws we show. Now we only have to enjoy it and try to put Argentina as high as possible". Castiglione closed their comments: "This is a new start. The dream was to make history and the goal has been fulfilled. Now we need more than ever your support, keep supporting us".

A video was shown done at Las Panteras concentration training hard and then, the Soprano Sol Quesada sang "The Show must go on" of Queen. Closing the event and prior to the final official photo, it was mentioned that the first presentation of the team will take place in Olavarria next May 27th playing v Bulgaria and then the friendly series will go on in Jujuy to end in Tucuman's World Grand Prix.
