Buenos Aires, Argentina, May 29, 2016 - All Argentine volleyball authorities ratified the model of management of the Argentine Volleyball Federation during the last four years, by choosing for a new four year period Juan Antonio Gutierrez as president of the FeVA, and therefore he will be the head of a new Olympic cycle towards Tokyo 2020.

With the support of all country's volleyball federations, the new FeVA Board of Administration was elected to face a new working period searching, as main goal, the growth of the sport.

"I am very proud of the unanimously ratification and support of a working model that has several premises, as its really federative carácter, searching to improve national grass-root categories, to hierarchize high competition, to organize the most important competitions searching to take the best volleyball all over the country. No doubt, a new growing cycle, thinking on Japan comes now. I want to thank the support of all, of volleyball authorities, the entities that help us, the coaching teams, the players and the clubs, this last being the real engine of our sport" expressed Gutierrez that will now be FeVA President.

FeVA has been a management model that fulfilled the goal of putting the Argentine National Teams among the top teams of the world at the FIVB World Ranking, not only with its Seniors' Teams but also with the grass-root teams in both genders. Today, Argentina qualified both indoor teams for the Olympic Games Rio de Janeiro 2016 for the first time in its history and it goes after qualifying also its both gender beach volleyball teams.

During the last years, our country organized the U 19 Boys World Championship 2015 in Chaco and Corrientes, one Grand Slam of the FIVB Beach Volleyball Tour in Corrientes (the first to take place in South America), The Final Round of the FIVB Word League 2013 in Mar del Plata, three weekends (one per season) of the Intercontinental Round of the World Grand Prix in Lomas de Zamora, Formosa and Tucuman, the FIVB World League in Salta, La Matanza and Mendoza, several stops of the South American Beach Volleyball Tour, Argentine Grass-Root Championships, Argentine Grass-Root Cups, etc. During this important 2016, Argentina will organize the FIVB World Elective Congress in Buenos Aires next October.

Since the year 2015 FeVA completed to include all 24 province volleyball federations, being the last one Tierra del Fuego.

With reference to sport results, Argentina obtained both genders South American Championships Gold Medals, Finals of the FIVB Beach Volleyball Tour, Silver Medals at the U 19 and U 21 World Championships for the first time in the year 2015, the Olympic Games Qualifications, , the Pan-American Men's indoor volleyball Gold Medal and Women's beach volleyball Gold Medals are some of the many examples of the growth of volleyball in the country. "Volleyball is a clear example of the institutional and sport growth. Now in a exemplary meeting, the continuity of FeVA management was ratified without anything pending at institutional level. Argentine Volleyball matured thanks to the work of many and even more leaders of each corner of the country" emphasized Gutierrez.

After the meeting was over, FIVB President, Ary Graca Filho talked with Gutierrez. "Ary Graca called me not only to congratulate me personally for my job but also to congratulate Argentina for its volleyball growth expressing his engagement and support with Argentine volleyball work".
