SALTA AND JUJUY WILL ENJOY ARGENTINA V BRAZIL FRIENDLY MATCHES

Buenos Aires, Argentina, May 31, 2016 - The Argentine Seniors' Men Team will measure their level this week when they face in Salta and Jujuy in a friendly tour Brazil, prior to the official very demanding season that includes its return to the FIVB World League in Group 1 and then, the Olympic Games Rio de Janeiro 2016.

The team official international season presentation took place last week in Buenos Aires and now, coached by Julio Velasco they will face the host of the Olympic Games and one of the best teams of the world at the "Personal Cup" for the winner of both matches.

Today, Brazil's National Team, coached by Bernardo Rezende will arrive to Buenos Aires leaving for Jujuy, venue of the first friendly match, that will take place this Thursday, June 2nd at 21.00 at Nestor Kirchner de Palpala Stadium. Fulfilling the Argentine Volleyball Federation goal of taking volleyball to every corner of the country it will be the first time that the light blue - white team plays in this province.

On Saturday, at 13.00 at Delmi Stadium in Salta, Argentina and Brazil will play their second "classical" South American match. Delmi stadium is well known at international level as the last FIVB World League one weekend in Argentina as host country took place at that venue.

The FIVB World League will be the first official international competition for the light blue - white team during this 2016 season, as part of the preparation for the dreamt Olympic Games. Argentina returned to Group 1 and therefore will face the strongest teams of the World.

"We have a very interesting program. We start playing v Brazil, a very interesting rival in the north of the country. We have some new players and this preparation will be a hard job but we hope to have positive results" explained Julio Velasco.
