Argentina will face this weekend Poland, France and Russia

Lodz, Poland, June 22, 2016 - After the first weekend of the FIVB World League 2016 in Rio de Janeiro where the Argentine team coached by Julio Velasco faced three very hard matches v the host team, Iran and USA, on Monday they left for Europe for the second weekend of the premier FIVB World competition in Group 1, where in Poland they will face France, Russia and the host team of Poland in a new very demanding weekend.

For the first time in its FIVB World League participation and due to the new playing formula because of the early Olympic Games Rio de Janeiro 2016 Argentina will not host any of the three weekends playing all as visiting team.

The light blue - white team that is already training in Poland was overcome by Iran, USA and Brazil and on this new weekend and the third in Iran, as planned has replaced Nicolas Uriarte by Demian Gonzalez.

Poland, the first rival on Friday overcame Bulgaria 3-1 but was defeated by Serbia and Russia in straight sets. Russia, meanwhile, overcame also Bulgaria but was defeated by Serbia 0-3 and France - FIVB World League title holder - overcame Italy and Australia and was defeated in a terrific tie-breaker by Belgium in one of the most surprising matches of the first weekend.
