Ana Gallay training for her second Olympic Games participation

Buenos Aires, Argentina, July 24, 2016 – With just two weeks to go for the start of the Olympic Games Rio 2016, the debut of Ana Gallay-Georgina Klug, the best Argentine ranked beach volleyball women’s team will take place after their participation at Austrian Grand Slam in Klagenfurt starting this Tuesday.

They travelled to Europe headed by their coach, Pablo Del Coto next Friday to participate of the 4th Major of the FIVB World Tour as previous stop of the World premier Sport competition. Klagenfurt is part of Argentine history as Martin Conde and Mariano Baracetti celebrated their World title in the year 2001.

Ana Gallay mentioned that the Argentine pair “is prepared training to their utmost because they had many competitions along the international season and now it is time to look at all details prior to arriving to Brazil”.

She added that “the idea was to train one week in Rio or compete in Klagenfurt and the coaching staff together with them decided to compete facing the top pairs of the world prior to their debut v the Spanish pair in Rio beach”.

With reference to her shoulder injury she advises that it is over thanks to the great work of Pablo Del Coto coaching; Ariel Caltabiano, trainer; Sol Celesia, osteopath and Pablo Fernandez, their therapist and that she is training as usual well recovered and that at no time she left training very hard, working mostly with her legs while the shoulder became heal.

Ready for her second participation at an Olympic Games, Ana Gallay is more tan happy. “The first feeling is happiness and pride to represent again the country as the best dream of any athlete becoming reality. To enjoy an Olympic Game as part of it is the best and I can only feel happiness”.
