Lima, Peru, July 28, 2016 - The Argentine U 23 Women's Team debut at the South American Championship was a victory over Chile in a quite easy match, 3-0 (25-13, 25-18-25-18) at Coliseo Manuel Bonilla in the city of Lima. With the competition including six countries divided in two three-team Pools, Argentina will have free this Friday and will face on Friday Brazil in Pool A.

The competition will qualify for the FIVB World Championship 2017 the winner between the host team of Peru, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Uruguay and Argentina.

For the Argentine Coach, Roberto Woelflin, there are many expectations on the competition results: "We had four one week concentrations prior to travelling to Peru and even thoudh we could not play as planned any friendly matches we are confident we are ready for this continental competition. This South American Championship and the next Pan-American Cup will help the team grow and win more international experience. It is a very hard competition but we are very confident".
