Klagenfurt, Austria, July 29, 2016 - Ana Gallay and Georgina Klug keep writing important results at Argentine Beach Volleyball. After winning Toronto's Pan-American Games Gold Medal and qualifying for the Olympic Games Rio de Janeiro 2016 thanks to their FIVB World Record, among other important performances, now they stand among the best four teams of the Klagengurt FIVB World Tour Major, the last competition prior to the premier World Sport competition in Brazil. They defeated GER Borger-Büthe 2-1 (21-18, 15-21, 15-13) in a very exciting match.

In a very hot weather in the morning they overcame the German pair after standing in the tie break and definitive set 9-11 and now they added a new historical record in their history, that is not finished as tomorrow they will face semi-finals with the goal of a podium place that motivates them for Rio.

To reach this point, they defeated first in a very hard tie-breaker the Brazilian Juliana-Lima after losing the first set 2-1 (19-21, 21-18, 15-10).

On Wednesday they won the two matches v the CAN Humana Paredes - Pischke 2-0 (21-19, 21-19) and then the Austrian local Nadine-Teresa Strauss by the same result by a double 21-18 but were defeated by the German Sude-Laboureur 0-2 (13-21, 24-26) finishing second in the preliminary round and therefore they started their way to semi-finals in first round.

Before travelling to Austria Gallay, not expecting such result before leaving mentioned that their goal was to use this last international competition prior to the Olympic Games as training.
