Klagenfurt, Austria, July 30, 2016 - Ana Gallay-Georgina Klug in a round trip motivation for the Olympic Games Rio de Janeiro 2016 and this Major FIVB Beach Volleyball competition held in Klagenfurt, finished on the fourth place; their second very important result after the Grand Slam.

In the last day in the most important matches they were overcome first by the Swiss Heidrich-Zumkrht 0-2 (19-21, 17-21) at one of the semi-finals of the tournament and then, also by a Swiss team, Betschart-Huberli at the bronze medal match.

This time, the Swiss pair lost the first set 21-14 to recover in the second winning by the same result. 14-21. Then in a very fought tiebreaker with four match balls for each team the Swiss pair won 22-20.

To reach semi-finals their path included overcoming the German pair after standing in the tie break and definitive set 9-11. But before they defeated first in a very hard tie-breaker the Brazilian Juliana-Lima after losing the first set 2-1 (19-21, 21-18, 15-10).

On Wednesday they won the two matches v the CAN Humana Paredes - Pischke 2-0 (21-19, 21-19) and then the Austrian local Nadine-Teresa Strauss by the same result by a double 21-18 but were defeated by the German Sude-Laboureur 0-2 (13-21, 24-26) finishing second in the preliminary round and therefore they started their way to semi-finals in first round.

Before travelling to Austria Gallay, not expecting such result before leaving mentioned that their goal was to use this last international competition prior to the Olympic Games as training.
