Mar del Plata, Argentina, August 23, 2016 - As part of the 44th celebration of the Mar del Plata Volleyball Association, in the city started to be played a new competition organized by the AMV itself in seven different fields around the city for all categories. The OAM Cup is at stake.

In the Press Conference leaded by the AMV and the Obra Asistencial Mutual de Mar del Plata, authorities and city clubs' delegated, last Saturday launched the important competition where top players assisted to support the event as Pablo Meana and Leandro Maly, today working in Necochea and Tandil volleyball respectively.

Simultaneously in seven fields U 13, U 15, U 17, U 19 and Seniors gather to compete.

Fabian Altamirano, AMV President thanked OAM "for their support to volleyball and the collaboration with medals and cups for all competitions" pointing out at the same time the importance that "a mutual health organization gets involved with volleyball promoting a healthy way of living that includes improving the health through out physical activities. We thank the AMV that allows us to be part of their competitions. Since the year 2009 the Mutual gets involved in different Mar del Plata activities supporting amateur sport broadcasting their message to the inhabitants".

Pablo Meana, today in Huracan de Necochea and Leandro Maly in Independiente de Tandil agreed that it is "very important that entities like OAM work together to make stronger volleyball". "We are very happy with the organization and the participation of huge quantities of AMV teams and we enjoy the competitions looking forward to an improvement we fulfilled" added both players.

Heading the meeting were also Andres Maccio, AMV Under-Secretary and Alejandro Marquez, OAM Secretary while authorities from Villa Gesell, Mar de Ajo, Tandil, Necochea, Loberia, Mirarmar and Mar Chiquita joint the local Mar del Plata officials.

This is a new competition model that combines the state, private and voleyball authorities to organize a different way to help volleyball grow.
