Klug training for the FIVB World Tour Finals in Toronto

Buenos Aires, Argentina, September 7, 2016 - Ana Gallay-Georgina Klug started a new training week on their way to the FIVB World Tour Finals that will take place in Toronto, Canada, September 13th-17th closing the 2016 beach volleyball international season.

As the historical qualification for the Olympic Games thanks to their great FIVB world ranking, Gallay-Klug qualified this season also as the first Argentine pair at a Final of the World Tour, in its second edition. The national pair, under the coaching of Pablo del Coto, go on training double shift, working on weights in the morning and at the sand in the afternoon, during at least two hours.

“This is an incredible reality for us. To be among the best eight teams of the World it is very hard and to belong to the group of these great players as most pairs have the same quantity of competitions played even though we were absent in two competitions due to Ana's injury. That makes even greater our effort" mentioned Georgina Klug.

She finished adding: "I believe we fulfilled a dream we could not even think about at the beginning of the season. It is very hard to obtain this goal and that talks about our performance during the whole international beach volleyball season".

No doubt, it is a great year for Gallay and Klug as they showed great level and lots of work and training during all the competitions of the World Tour, even qualifying for semi-finals, one of them at a Grand Slam. Thinking on their future she added: "We want to keep at the same rhythm during the year 2017. We have planned our work together with our coach, Pablo Del Coto and the goals we want to fulfil as players and as team. We want to keep winning, growing and being among the best pairs of each competition and we know that if we obtain regularity and we know that we can fulfil our targets".
