ARGENTINA READY FOR THE U 23 WOMEN'S PAN-AMERICAN CUP IN PERU

Argentina roster confirmed for the Peru U 23 Women's Pan-American Cup

Buenos Aires, Argentina, September 13, 2016 - The Argentine National U 23 Women's Team will participate of the South American Championship to be held in Lima with the goal of qualifying for the World Championship 2017.

The team coached by Guillermo Orduna will play with most of the players that participated at their grass-root South American Championship. The setters will be Azul Benitez and Barbara Frangella; middle spikers Mariana Moriondo, Martina Guastavino and Candelaria Herrera; libero Antonela Fortuna and wing spikers Micaela Fabiani, Sol Piccolo, Elina Rogriguez, Irene Verasio, Daniela Bulaich and Camila Hiruela. The coaching team also includes: Roberto Woelflin, Ariel Broggi, Hugo Senes and Oscar Ben.

"Our goal is the qualification for the World Championship 2017, there is one berth for South America and I believe the team grew a lot during this year and we will see if we fulfil our goal. We must keep growing and winning international experience so that some of our players qualify for Las Panteras, our Seniors' Women Team" expressed Guillermo Orduna.

About the chance of coaching the team in this competition he added: "It is a great chance to keep in contact with the girls as I have coached the Seniors' and to see that some are showing their growth and talent and fulfilling their own goals towards wearing the jersey of our Women's most important team is very gratifying". As with the men's competition the U 23 South American Championship and the U 23 Pan-American Cup offer two berths for the best South American Teams and two for Norceca's.
