THE 35TH FIVB ELECTIVE WORLD CONGRESS RE-ELECTED ARY S. GRAÇA Fº AS NEXT 8 YEARS PRESIDENT

Buenos Aires, Argentina, October 5, 2016 - Wednesday afternoon, when the first date of the 35th FIVB Elective World Congress was ending after a very intensive and demanding working day that started at 9.00 and finished about 19.00 closed with the re-election of FIVB President Dr. Ary S. Graça Fº for the next 8 years. The Brazilian president was hailed and cheered unanimously by all World Delegates present at the Congress at Buenos Aires Hilton Hotel.

The first Graça President period started at the Congress held in Anaheim, USA in the year 2012 and now after four years of very successful four years of growth of volleyball world wide, all five Continental Confederations without a single questioning supported his re-election for the period 2016-24.

"No doubt, volleyball is enjoying a gold successful period and it is an honour for me to have the outstanding chance to keep building this success carrying volleyball even higher in the world" mentioned Graça in front of the heads of each country volleyball national federations at the Congress.

He added: "Buenos Aires has always been an elective city. In the year 2002 I was invited to be the President of the South American Volleyball Federation and now in a new visit I was re-elected as FIVB President. It is a wonderful city and I am very thankful".

FeVA President, Juan Antonio Gutiérrez expressed: "We are very happy for Ary Graça re-election as FIVB President. This is a very important fact for South American Volleyball and we celebrate it".

This Thursday the Congress will go on with the Agenda closing its second and last day with very important facts being discussed at meetings and at the General Congress itself as part of the continuous growth and improvement of volleyball worldwide".
