Obreros will participate of the the Argentine A2 League being very young

Catamarca, Argentina, January 7, 2017 - Club Obreros de San Isidro de Catamarca will make its debut at the Argentine Men's A2 upgrading League during this 2017 edition with the team deciding to participate after the organization of a "team" by a bunch of Friends and after only four years of its creation and therefore, just in a small period of time they challenge the province boundaries to try luck in different parts of the country.

Raul Gordillo, one of the boosters of volleyball at their club, mentioned how volleyball of Obreros started: "The club exists until the year 1932 but always related to soccer and four years ago a group of friends decided to play volleyball in its facilites as most of us belong to the club and were born and grew as part of the same. At the beginning only six players with a steadily growth that now involves from the U 17 to Seniors, both gender and with six 15 and 16 years old children that will be part of the A2 team".

When answering how came that they decided to be part of the Argentine Men's A2 League Gordillo added: "We thought about it, then we dreamt it with Pablo Rodríguez and since then there was not a single day without planning on it. We played two regional competitions prior to this great challenge. First with bad results on the year 2013 but then our performance after these two tournaments improved and in the year 2015 and we finished amont the best eight as seventh. We love sport and a group of friends became a volleyball club with the goal of advancing at the next regional competition".

With the dream becoming true, since next January 13th Obreros will share Pool with Ateneo (also from Catamarca), UVT, Banco Hispano, Estudiantes, Matanza and the "classical" experience of the Argentine Boys' Youth Team. "Our first goal is to maintain the category knowing it is going to be very hard but we will work with confidence to fulfil this dream".

For Catamarca province this League will be also historical with two teams representing it. "Volleyball is becoming very popular and every day it grows bigger and bigger and we teach that volleyball means love, passion and self-effacement but always training as profesional athletes. We love our jersey, our club and Catamarca's volleyball is enjoying a great moment and it will be seen at the first match playing at home".

"People, Friends, relatives and the Media are pending of each and every move and it is the nicest moment for us and we will do our utmost to make it work" finished saying Gordillo followed by many children that are taking their first steps in volleyball.
