THIS WEDNESDAY ENDS THE FIRST ROUND OF THE WOMEN'S A1 LEAGUE

Buenos Aires, Argentina, March 1, 2017 - This Wednesday the last three matches of the Preliminary Round of the Argentine Women's A1 League will take place with the three leaders of the pools playing as Boca will visit BPLP and Gimnasia v Villa Dora will have their match in Club Rosario.

In La Plata, Boca looks forward to their sixth victory over Banco Provincia de La Plata that won both matches v Neuquen teams. Boca is one of the teams that has not a single set since the competition started together with Gimnasia de La Plata that this Wednesday will face River - after deeating it twice during the season.

In Villa Dora the local will face Rosario for the top ranked teams of the pool already settled. The result is important for the top team, respectively.

The preliminary round was played with the record of 19 teams divided in five pools with the best three of each pool qualifying for the second round including the best 4th, Rivadavia.

The following are all 16 qualified teams to go on with the competition: Boca, Gimnasia, Villa Dora, Vélez, San Lorenzo, BPLP, River, Club Rosario, San José, San Jorge, Picún, Unión, San Martín de Formosa, Estudiantes, Argentine Youth's and Rivadavia.

For the second round, the points rate will be important to settle the four pools in serpentine rounds, respectively.
