Buenos Aires, Argentina, April 22, 2017 - The second training week of Julio Velasco Seniors' Men Team showed a change related to the official Roster presented by the coach prior to start preparing the international demanding season for his team. The opposite Santiago Darraidou, runner-up of the Argentine League 2016/17 wearing Ciudad de Buenos Aires started working at Cenard facilities replacing Jose Luis Gonzalez that took a step side for this 2017 season due to family issues.

“Pepe” Gonzalez, Julio Velasco player wearing the national jersey since the first season, playing the FIVB Men's World Championship Poland 2014, the Pan-American Games 2015 and the Olympic Games 2016 among many others premier competitions, advised directly his decisión from Greece, where he is participating at the Greek League Play-Offs with Panathinaikos, emphasizing that he must "give priority at this point to personal relative issues" but advising that he wants to maintain the relationship with the national team in case the coaching team considers that they need him.

Therefore Darraidou was included in the roster and started to work this same week after an Argentine League that had him again among the top scorers with one of the surprise teams of the seasons', the semi-finalist Ciudad de Buenos Aires.

The opposite 36 years old player participated of the first international season with Velaso and was part of the team that participated of the World Championship Poland 2014.
