In the last appearance before the FIVB World League debut, which will be next June 2, the Argentine National Team fell in the second game of the Vesuvio Cup in Naples, Italy, against Japan in five sets, after taking to the tie break an initial 0-2. The Asian triumph was by 23-25, 20-25, 25-22, 25-17 and 12-15.

Argentine coach Julio Velasco changed the team and the initial line-up was with Maximiliano Cavanna as setter, German Johansen as opposite, Pablo Crer and Sebastian Sole as middle blockers and the pair Nicolas Bruno-Gonzalo Quiroga as outside hitters. Ignacio Fernandez and Alexis Gonzalez alternated as liberos. Cristian Poglajen, Demian Gonzalez, Santiago Darraidou, Facundo Imhoff and Martin Ramos were substitutions and gave different performances to the national team.

This Tuesday Julio Velasco's squad will travel to Russia, where it will debut next Friday against the local team on its second season in Group 1 of the World League, which will then take action in Iran, before disembarking in the Orpheus Superdom of Cordoba (Argentina) next 16th, 17th and 18th of June.
