This Saturday morning Argentina got its first victory in the 2017 World League by defeating Bulgaria in Kazan, Russia, in the second match of the first weekend. The team led by Julio Velasco achieved a significant triumph against their Bulgarian pair by 3-2 (25-23, 23-25, 20-25, 25-21, 15-12). Cristian Poglajen was the Argentine top scorer with 19 points. This Sunday, the closure of the first weekend against France at 10am televised in Argentina at TyC Sports or live streaming at FIVB Official YouTube Channel.

Argentina began the game more precise and took benefit of its rival's errors to dominate the scoreboard with good contributions of its outside hitters. Thus, despite the improvement of Bulgaria in the closure, Argentina won the first partial. The story changed its course in the continuity of the game, with Bulgaria better driven from Georgi Bratoev's hands and an unstoppable Tsvetan Sokolov, who headed the great offensive game of the Europeans to not only tie the game, but to win it 2-1.

Argentina found the way to play against its rival's block in the fourth set with a powerful start that gave a baggage of points enough to handle the rest of the set comfortably. Thus, regular in all its lines and containing the Bulgarian attempts, Argentina tied the game and pushed to the tie break.

In the last set Velasco's team maintained the rhythm, got a distance in the beginning pressing with its serve and had patience when Bulgaria attacked. Although the rival got close in the end, with a good task in block and incisive in attack, Argentina ended the game and celebrated its first triumph.
