WORLD LEAGUE: ARGENTINA 0 - SERBIA 3

On its first appearance in the second weekend of the FIVB World League 2017 in Tehran, Iran, Argentina went from minor to major but finished falling in straight sets against Serbia, actual champion, by 18-25, 22-25 and 23-25. Cristian Poglajen contributed with 15 points and was the top scorer of the match. This Saturday, the team that leads Julio Velasco will face Belgium.

Uros Kovacevic and Marko Ivovic began to damage for Serbia, turning in point every counter-attack chance generated by the good blocking and defense system posed by Nikola Grbic's team (6-8). Cristian Poglajen started to carry the offensive weight of Julio Velasco's team, but the Europeans showed the best of their repertoire to inhibit any good Argentine action (12-16). Julio Velasco tested with substitutions for the third partial and Santiago Darraidou, Facundo Imhoff and Alejandro Toro jumped to the court.
