The Panthers fell to Germany in the semifinals of the Montreux Volley Masters by 3 to 1, with partials of 27-25, 19-25, 25-27 and 19-25. The Argentines were eliminated from a tournament where they made history by beating the last Olympic champion and ended at the first place and unbeaten in the group stage. Tomorrow from 13:30 (local time) the team will face the loser from Brazil and China for the third place.

The start of the match was very favorable for those led by Guillermo Orduna who got the first set by the slightest difference from the hand of an inspired Elina Rodriguez, who ended up being the top scorer of the game with 23 points.

In spite of the great Argentine beginning, the Germans tied the match and took the second partial by 19-25. From there the performance of the Panthers was from minor to major, however it wasn't enough to win the 3rd set, where they fell 25-27 in what was a turning point in the development of the match.

In the fourth partial, the German power in attack, especially with its scorers Louisa Lippmann and Jennifer Geerties, was difficult to control for the Argentine players. This way, the Europeans sealed the final 3-1 after the 19 to 25.

The results of the national team throughout the competition and the level demonstrated against great teams serve as proof of the good moment that the Panthers are experiencing and reaffirms the latest achievements, including their first participation in an Olympic Games (Rio 2016 ) after reaching the classification at the Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Bariloche.

This prestigious championship serves as a prelude to the FIVB Grand Prix, which will have its way through Argentina on June 7, 8 and 9 in Neuquen when the Panthers host Canada, Croatia and Poland at the Ruca Che stadium.
