This Tuesday, Las Panteras played their fourth game in the Pan-American Cup in Cañete, Peru, and couldn't beat Puerto Rico. It was a defeat by 3-1, with partials of 15-25, 25-19, 25-21 and 25-21. Despite the loss, Argentina secured its place in the next phase of the tournament. This Wednesday, the last game of the zone against the United States at 9om (Argentine time).

Argentina arrived after winning 3-1 to Mexico and 3-0 to both Venezuela and Colombia. With Tuesday's 3-1 loss to Puerto Rico Orduna's team reached 15 points in the ranking and secured its place in the next round of the tournament. This Wednesday the Panthers will play against the United States (unique undefeated) looking for the best qualification, even with the chance to be first of Zone A.

Argentina started very solid and took great advantage in the first set 25-15. Nevertheless, from the second part on, Puerto Rico lowered the error and found answers in attack with Santana and Ferrer to have more protagonism in the match. The Panthers, meanwhile, alternated good and bad moments in reception and attack and despite the substitutions, couldn't revert the favorable history for the Caribbean ones.

The top scorer of the match was Daly Santana with 19 points, while in the National Team Yamila Nizetich scored 15.
