At the closure of the group stage of the Seniors Pan-American Cup in Cañete, Argentina couldn't beat the United States and lost 3-0 (27-25, 25-14, 25-23). This way, the Panthers will play in the quarterfinals against Peru, next Friday at 9pm (local time).

The Panthers finished third in Zone A behind the United States (ranked directly to the semifinals) and Puerto Rico. On the other hand, Dominican Republic took the first place of Zone B to be semifinalist, while Peru qualified as escort and Cuba in the third position.

The United States came undefeated to the match against Argentina and the game was extremely even except for the second set. Argentina had its chance of closing in the first partial, but the North Americans solved it 27-25 to dominate in the second.

At this game Orduna preserved Rodríguez and Sosa, who were starting players; Piccolo and Bulgarella replaced them respectively. In addition, Hiruela (by Piccolo) and Sagardía (by Vidal) had time on the court too.

The North American team had a better game in attack and had the top scorer of the game, Andrea Drews, with 16 points. On the Argentine side, again Nizetich was the one that added more points since it finished with 14.
