U20 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP: OFFICIAL SITE

This Sunday was the last day of Pool D of the U20 Women's World Championship in Boca del Rio with the game between Argentina and Italy, both with no chance of qualifying to the best eight, but looking for their first win in the competition. The Argentines had a good start that then couldn't maintain and ended up losing by 3-0 to the European with partials of 28-26, 25-21 and 25-20.

The Italian supremacy was notorious in attack and block, especially from the second set. The Argentines were combative from defense and had good contributions from Anahi Tosi and Daniela Nielson, top scorers with 12 and 11 points, but Italy was more regular and knew how to play in the key moments to win.

Now Argentina will have to wait to know its rivals in the fight for the ninth place that will start next Tuesday. Guillermo Caceres' girls will be part of one of the two groups of four that will try to accommodate in the best possible way facing the classification 9°-16°.
