The most awaited goal for the Argentina's Junior Team is close and the girls will play the U18 World Championship in Santa Fe and Rosario from August 18th to 27th in what will be the first World Champ in the women's branch that will be organized in our country.

The World Championship, declared a sport and cultural interest event by the Municipal Council of the city of Santa Fe, is the point of arrival of a long preparation route that included training camps and visits throughout the country, as well as participations in the Women's League, the U18 Panamerican Cup and the U18 Final Four. Now, the World Championship is just around the corner in what will be a memorable experience for the Argentine volleyball family.

The 2017 tour began the first days of January with the first of the six concentrations that the Panteritas were going to have. The first three were at the CENARD, with the experience of the Women's League between, which allowed them to visit several points of the country and measure themselves at the highest national level in search of the best rhythm for the commitments of the category.

The next goal was the Panamerican Cup in which Argentina managed to get into the top four and finished in the fourth position after falling against Dominican Republic in four sets. On their way back, there were three more concentrations, one per month in Cordoba, Santa Fe and Dolores respectively. There, the ones led by Estanislao Vachino met with different teams and adjusted details for the Final Four and the World Championship.

The Final Four in Peru found Argentina in good shape to get into the final and take the silver medal. A result that boosted expectations for a team that will now travel to Santa Fe, where from August, 11 to 15th will participate in a Campus in the city of Galvez.

Then it will be time to arrive to Santa Fe together with 10 other delegations for the long awaited debut of Friday, 18 against Germany, to then face Slovenia, Korea and Cuba. Only 12 players will be in the World Championship on behalf of a working group that had 40 girls in 2016 and that went through an extensive preparation and growth path accompanied by FeVA, provincial federations, leaders, clubs and coaches.

The participation of the 'Panteritas' in the World Championship takes place in the context of a very special year for the institutional history of FeVA, which for the first time has all its grassroot teams in their respective world championships. After the organizational experience at the last Boys' U19 World Championship in Chaco and Corrientes, Santa Fe and Rosario are ready to launch its own tournament.
