The debut in the World Championship Qualifier of Arequipa couldn't be better for Argentina. This Friday, the team led by Guillermo Orduna defeated Colombia by 3 to 0 with scores by 25-21, 25-19 and 25-19 in a great performance of the team. This Saturday, from 5pm (local time) the rival will be Uruguay.

The first set began with parity, but after the first technical timeout, Colombia took advantage of 16-13. However, in the definition zone Argentina moved to the front 21-20 with a good job in blocking and counterattack to define it 25-21.

The Panthers started in good shape in the second set and took off 8-1 and 16-10 with a good task in the attack and counterattack and playing well in block. Despite of the improvement of the Colombians towards the end, Argentina stayed up and solved it 25-19.

The third chapter was point-to-point until the second technical timeout when Colombia came up by the slightest difference. Later on and in a partial with mistakes on both sides, Argentina reached the zone of definition 21-18 to seal this important victory by 25-19.
