MEN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP: 24 DEFINED TEAMS FOR ITALY-BULGARIA 2018

24 TEAM FOR THE WOMEN'S WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

This last weekend, the FIVB World Championship 2018 qualifying tournaments were completed and we finally know the 24 participating teams that will go for the title in the contest to be played in next September.

With Cuba and Puerto Rico as the last qualified teams after an exciting definition, the most important of the FIVB events, to be held in Italy and Bulgaria between September 10 and 30th, completed its 24 berths with only one roockie that will be Slovenia.

For the Argentine National Team, that qualified after winning the World Championship Qualifier in Salta and Jujuy last September, it will be their 11th consecutive participation and the 12th in total after its debut in Brazil 1960. After that first presence, the Argentines had to wait 18 years to return to the maximum event of the discipline and no longer miss any edition.

The tournament will be held in six Italian and three Bulgarian cities in four groups of six teams. The best four of each zone will advance to the next round looking for a place in the finals of Turin, in which will participate six teams.

Organizers: Italy and Bulgaria
Last champion: Poland
Europe: France, Netherlands, Slovenia, Russia, Serbia, Finland and Belgium
Asia/Oceania: Japan, Iran, China and Australia
South America: Argentina and Brazil
NORCECA: USA, Dominican Republic, Canada, Puerto Rico and Cuba
Africa: Tunisia, Egypt and Cameroon
