RECORD OF FEDERATIONS REPRESENTED ON THE ARGENTINE CUPS 2017

The U13 Cup grew to 58 teams in only one year

The Argentine Cups 2017 beat a record and despite the popularity that we are used to, for the first time all the Argentine provinces except Tierra del Fuego were represented. 189 teams that came from the north, south, east and west of our country competed for almost a month and played 866 games.

The federal mark of the Argentine Cups is not new, but until now 23 federations had never coincided in the same year. In this 2017 teams from Tucuman, Buenos Aires, Metropolitan Area, Entre Rios, Chaco, Santa Fe, Cordoba, Mendoza, Chubut, Neuquen, San Juan, Formosa, San Luis, Santa Cruz, Corrientes, Jujuy, La Rioja, La Pampa, Rio Negro, Salta, Santiago del Estero, Misiones and Catamarca participated.

The most popular Argentine Cup was the U15 in which a total of 62 teams participated in both branches. However, with a prominent presence also in U13 and U17, the 2017 Cups brought together a total of 189 teams. Undoubtedly, one of the ones that had more growth, on its second edition because the category was installed in 2016, was the U13 that went from 44 to 58 teams in just one year.

Beyond the total number of teams, once again the barrier of the 100 represented clubs was overcome, since in Chapadmalal 2017 played 112 institutions from all over the country. Another good number is the total of matches hosted by the Sport Center on its 8 courts: between the four Cups, 866 matches were played (470 women and 396 men).

Another of the highlights in this season of Argentine Cups was the impact of the Internet transmissions of all the finals. Among the eight broadcasted matches there were a total of 30 thousand connections from Argentina, Spain, Chile, Brazil, Peru, Belgium, United States, United Kingdom, Indonesia, Andorra, France, Turkey, Taiwan, Morocco, Dominican Republic, Paraguay, Greece, Canada, Uruguay, Germany and Colombia.
