The number 1 Argentine pair composed by Julian Azaad from Entre Rios and Nicolas Capogrosso from Santa Fe, will play in the beginning of this 2018 the 4 stars tournament “Dela Beach Open” at Hague, Netherlands, from January 3rd to 7th in what will be the first tournament of the year for both branches.

The trip of the Argentine pair appears in an important week for our country's beach volleyball with the last week Argentine Beach Volleyball Games, with the highest participation from sport federations with 23 from 24 provinces represented in both branches.

Also, two continental tournaments were confirmed: the Grand Slam in Rosario, Santa Fe, for men and women (February, 9 al 11th) and the Grand Slam in Resistencia, Chaco, for men from April, 13 to 15th. Both competitions stand in the calendar of the South American Confederation as in 2016.

It will be a good opportunity for the Argentine pair since it will be able to add points for the main draw thinking on the 2018 competition. Azaad and Capogrosso, that have already faced in the Argentine Beach Volleyball Games representing their provinces, got directly at the 21° place in the draw, without going trough the "qualy".

Azaad won again the Argentine Beach Volleyball Games, this time in Concepcion del Uruguay, together with Joel Leon, representing Entre Rios, who won the final against Santa Fe (Nicolas Capogrosso and Sebastian Fernández, both from Rosario) in the 2nd edition of the competition.

Azaad-Capogrosso have played together since 2017 in Coquimbo, Chile, when they debuted in the South American Circuit in February. Together they have 5 continental stages, with crown in Lima, Peru. In June, in Moscow, they debuted in their first FIVB World Tour, in which they have 8 participations. In July in Uherske Hradiste, Czech Republic, they won their first title outside the continent.

From its lats edition in June 2017, The Hague tournament was upgraded from 3 stars to 4.
