BEACH VOLLEY: ARGENTINA WILL HAVE THE 1° PHASE OF THE MEN´S CONTINENTAL CUP

In 2019 will begin the beach volleyball qualifying tour to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and the venues of the first phase of the tournament, which will determine in different stages, the qualified teams for the top sport event were known. Rosario will once again host the highest level of beach volleyball, when receiving the Men´s Pool B in which Argentina will participate along with Ecuador, Colombia and Guyana.

As in 2016, the Continental Cup organized by the South American Volleyball Confederation will return to Argentina, but this time in the male branch. The tournament, divided into stages, will work as a continental qualifier and will be responsible for distributing the available berths for Tokyo 2020.

In the men’s tournament, the first phase will have three groups: A to be disputed in Brasilia between the local team, Venezuela, Paraguay and Bolivia; B that will be developed in our country; and C, in Chile, between the local representatives, Uruguay, Peru and French Guiana.

In the case of women, Argentina will be part of Group C along with Paraguay, Peru and Bolivia in Paraguayan lands. Group A will also take place in Brasilia, with locals, Uruguay, Ecuador and Guyana. Finally, Group B will have Chile as host to receive Colombia, Venezuela and French Guiana.
