It's official: from next season Hernan Ferraro will be the coach of the Argentine Women's Volleyball Team after the Argentine Volleyball Federation analyzed a total of 10 work proposals. This Wednesday, at FeVA's headquarters, the former assistant of the Men's National Team and current coach of Ciudad de Buenos Aires in the ACLAV League, reached an agreement with the leadership to start working with the Panthers.

"We want to thank all the proposals and projects sent from Argentina and abroad. It is gratifying to know that there are coaches that with their commitment work to make the female volleyball grow in Argentina" said FeVA President Juan Antonio Gutiérrez after the meeting with Ferraro. Ferraro will be the successor of Guillermo Orduna, coach between 2013 and 2018. "We want to build on what was done, which was very good" said the former Argentine national setter.

"The women's volleyball has an extraordinary raw material and a very good quality of coaches who discuss all the time to improve. We must keep working on that discussion and we have to travel the country. We will work to strengthen a game system that benefits the biotype of our team and we will create a good work climate among all those who integrate the female volleyball to get a space where the players can continue developing after they are 18 years within the local, regional and national competition of each club" explained Ferraro as some of his ideas.

Among the objectives for next season are the Pan American Games of Lima 2019, the qualification to the Olympic Games of Tokyo 2020, the World Championship 2022 and the greater insertion of players in competitive International Leagues.

Thus came to the end the selection process led by the team of leaders in charge of the Women's Team composed of Eduardo Fernández (Codoba) and Gabriel Salvia (Buenos Aires), who studied the projects with Juan Sardo (Metropolitana) in the last weeks. The meeting was attended by Juan Antonio Gutiérrez, the General Secretary Gabriel Salvia, José María Cuadrillero and coach Hernán Ferraro, who already had several contacts with FeVA leadership in recent weeks.
