The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) made an inspection on Tuesday at the Aconcagua Arena Stadium in the province of Mendoza, home of a weekend of the Volleyball Nations League, which will be held on May 31, June 1 and 2.

National and international authorities supervised the stadium in which Marcelo Méndez's team will face Portugal, Canada and Bulgaria in the first weekend of the most important annual tournament of the international calendar.

On behalf of the FIVB, Marcos Dunlop was the inspector, who was also supervisor on the 2018 dates in both Santa Fe and San Juan. Mendoza is getting ready to live the most important competition for national teams after the Olympic Games and the World Championships.

The national team will play in front of its people on May 31, June 1 and 2, and will return to Mendoza after the World League 2015, which was played at the Torito Rodríguez stadium. The Event Director, Diego Soler, together with the FIVB supervisor, the representative of the IMG company -official broadcaster of the event-, Yann Thomas, the former president of Mendoza´s Federation, Enrique Castillo, and the international referee Fabián Concia toured the facilities of the Aconcagua Arena with views on the matches that will be played in the province.

The arrival of this edition of the Volleyball Nations League came after the efforts made by FeVA through the Mendoza Volleyball Federation, which is chaired by Celia Montaruli, with the Government of the Province and the Undersecretariat of Sports headed by Federico Chiapetta.
