In Pool F in Buenos Aires, Gimnasia had a difficult start against Banco, but managed to win in tie break. Nevertheless, they lost to host San Lorenzo, that prevailed on its three games, and played against Estudiantes for the last available berth. In Pool G, meanwhile, local Villa Dora made a double 3-0 against Rosario and Velez to guarantee a place in semifinals.
