The Argentinian women duo of Ana Gallay and Fernanda Pereyra continues consolidating on its second international season and in Brasilia got a new bronze medal in the 4th Grand Slam Directv Stage of the South American Beach Volleyball Circuit 2019. In the decisive duel, under a torrential rain, the Argentineans won to local Andressa and Solange by 2-1 (19-21, 21-18, 15-11). The next stage of the continental circuit will be from April 19 to 21, in Camaçari, Brazil.

It was a new achievement for the Argentine team: "We planned a construction season, not losing to teams that are not from Brazil. We are achieving our goals and playing better and better. We especially thank Enard, the Sports Agency and FeVA for their support, in addition to our sponsors” said the two-times Olympian Ana Gallay.

For her part, Fernanda Pereyra was enthusiastic: "We played every time a little better. I'm feeling very comfortable and I’m growing very supported by Ana and our coach Pablo Del Coto”.

Having won the four stages played so far, Brazil leads the continental ranking with 800 points. Argentina is in second place, with 660 points.

The male duo of Nicolás Capogrosso and Julián Azaad stayed on the road in the quarterfinals against the Chileans Esteban and Marco Grimalt, after a strong physical complication for Azaad.

Brazil completely dominated the stage in Brasilia (DF): there were two golds and one silver medal for the country teams in the competition held in the City Park. In the men’s side, the title was for Hevaldo and Arthur Lanci, and in the women´s one, gold went to Carolina Horta and Ángela, while the silver to Tainá and Victoria.

The results of the last weekend makes Brazil top the ranking of the South American Men's Circuit, reaching 700 points. Argentina appears in second place, with 640 points.

The points obtained in each stage go to the country. In the end, the points are added and the country that leads the ranking is declared the general champion.

The CSVP South American Circuit has five regular stages and two Final tournaments, with a higher score and award, being one for the masculine and one for the feminine. In addition to San Francisco del Sur (SC), Coquimbo (Chile), Lima (Peru) and now Brasilia (DF), the competition will go through Camaçari (Bahia). The Final tournaments will be in Argentina for the ladies, and Brazil, for the men.
